History

In 1994, the cornerstone of what is currently ETS, was formed under the corporate name of Advanced Metals Engineering, or AME. Early on, AME’s primary focus was the design and development of a high-speed manufacturing process to support the telecom industry for producing leaky Radiax cable. The AME patented method produced automated quality and was capable of deploying product 70% faster than the rate of production compared to traditional industry standards. AME’s established culture for quality standards combined with “Just in Time Manufacturing” has allowed AME to stay highly competitive and price aggressive in the evolving world telecom market.

Over the next twelve years, AME participated with indirect management and financial support for mechanical designs, custom interface and thermal solutions offered to the Semiconductor Industry through a small Engineering firm in Richardson, Texas. Test programs that AME participated in ranged from industry standard test platforms to Wafer Burn-In Test systems for KGD and thermal profiling.

In 2007, AME recognized the opportunity to move its accomplished engineering team into specialized military programs, environmental test systems and test board design and assemblies. The rapidly growing customer base influenced AME to expand its relationships and changed its name to ETS to encompass a broader engineering and assembly platform.

In 2009, ETS expanded its ownership base to include the SV Tronics Group along with specialized Directors and Engineers to solidify the infrastructure for the rapidly growing business format. The ETS customer will now be supported with certification and quality programs 9001:2000, 13485:2003, SMTA, IPC 620 and IPC 610. ETS now offers the benefits of 100 plus employees, an expanded 90,000 square feet facility that will continue to represent a state of the art ECM to include additional surface mount lines, large format Burn-In and Backplane board requirements (up to 44” square fully automated assemblies) and cable and system assemblies. In addition to these accomplished service and capability upgrades, ETS will have an increased international support and service network. In Q3 2008, ETS was awarded long-term participation in guaranteed military programs that has and will continue to solidify our expansion for supplying our valued client base a stable and financially viable Test Engineering and ECM group to collaborate with.
